President's Message

I would like to take this opportunity as newly elected president of the IMSA Atlantic, to thank all the members and suppliers with the success of the spring 2008 AGM, and to personally thank past president Perry Hill and past executive members for their hard work and dedication to the IMSA Atlantic.
It is through those efforts of dedicated members that has made the IMSA Atlantic a strong and viable part of the International Association. I would also like to thank the ITE members for their participation in this years AGM. The results thus far have been very positive.

We will arrange as soon as possible the first meeting of the new executive to set some new goals for this year. Some new items that are proposed are to make the Technical sessions more focussed into training of newer TS-1 and TS-2 equipment with emphasise on trouble shouting and fault logging. Now with the addition of the TARP point system, accumulating TARP points are now critical for renewing certification. With our new web site we will be regularly polling the membership as to the training / sessions they would most benefit from and arrange this training if possible.

The IMSA International 113th Annual Conference and 30th Annual School will be held July 17-23, 2008 at the Sheraton Wild Horse Pass Resort in Phoenix, Arizona.  More information available at:  http://www.imsasafety.org/2008conf/2008conf.html

The annual conference is always a great event.

Please work safely as we move toward the 2008 construction season.  Thank you to all volunteers.  We continue to improve through your hard work and belief in IMSA.

Best Regards

Eric Kidson
